I would personally like to invite you to attend the first meeting of the Sarcoidosis Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Having a special interest in Sarcoidosis for over 25 years I am especially pleased to be able to establish this organization to provide a multitude of services for patients with sarcoidosis. This first meeting will serve a number of functions. The major features of the Sarcoidosis Center will be described. I will present a short discussion about sarcoidosis in general terms attempting to reach a broad range of interests. Following this discussion we will host our first Sarcoidosis Center Support Group meeting. This is intended to provide a mechanism for patients with the disease to interact among themselves. This part of the meeting will be run by a person familiar with the disease from personal experience.

A large part of this organization will be made up of individuals who actually have sarcoidosis. All of us at the Sarcoidosis Center hope that you will feel the need to participate in the activities of the organization. As such this organization mainly will consist of sarcoidosis patients helping each other. A number of specialist advisors will also play a major role in its functioning. I have enclosed a form that will help us organize information about our members and hopefully enhance our capabilities. Please bring this information with you to the meeting but do not feel obligated in any way to include any information you are uncomfortable providing. However, don't worry, copies of the form will be at the meeting if you forget yours.

We are pleased that the meeting place will be at the beautiful Racquet Club (please see enclosed map). Future support group meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of every other month at the same location. Various surprises will enhance future meetings from time to time. From the bottom of my heart I intend to make this a truly enriching experience for you. Please do me and yourself a favor and attend this meeting.
